Details on Pet Food Express Bulletin
Pet Food Express posted a bulletin after a small handful of Halo users reported that they noticed an unappealing smell when they opened our Spot’s Stew Adult Chicken Dry Formula, and our Adult Salmon Dry Formula, both for dogs, both with expiration dates of 4/22/2011. We immediately evaluated those product lots, identified the source of the problem, and confirmed on day one that there were no health issues with the products, and all nutritional values were normal.
In short, there is a natural variability in the aroma given off by natural ingredients and unfortunately there were some bags that didn’t smell great.
But from day one, we determined there was NO health or nutrition issue for pets.
